What We Do
The Auxiliary at the Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department is a vital arm of our organization. As a 501(c)3 non-profit entity, our primary purpose is to support the fire department both financially and administratively. Our members are at the forefront of planning, organizing, and executing a variety of fundraising projects and events, as well as lending a hand at community events and assisting with various station matters.
No matter your skill set, there’s a role for you in the Auxiliary. From party planning and grant writing to carpentry and organizational tasks, we value the diversity of talents our members bring to the table. Even if you’re unsure how your skills can contribute, we guarantee there’s a fulfilling way for you to participate and enjoy the camaraderie of our team.

Benefits of Joining the Auxiliary
- Length of Service Awards Program (LOSAP): Members can earn points through their service that lead to tax credits and may even qualify for monthly checks once specific age and service length criteria are met.
- A Second Family: Perhaps the most invaluable benefit is the family you gain. Whether celebrating triumphs or facing challenges, you will find a supportive community ready to share in your joy or offer a shoulder to lean on in tough times.
