Exploring the Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department

MVC with Motorcyle on Central Ave. at Loch Haven Rd.

A motorcycle lies on its side on the road at night, illuminated by the red and yellow lights of a fire-rescue truck and ambulance in the background. Emergency personnel wearing reflective vests are on scene.

Station 2 units were dispatched just before 9 pm Saturday night for the motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Central Ave at Loch Haven Rd. The driver of the motorcycle was transported by ground to a trauma center and a second person involved in the incident was taken to a local hospital. Police directed traffic through Sue’s Deli and the old BP station parking lots. The road was reopened around 10 pm. REMINDER: Pay attention when police are directing traffic. We had several people attempt to drive through the incident scene even with police waving people through the parking lot.

A motorcycle helmet labeled "HJC" rests on a metal surface next to oxygen tanks. Yellow clothing lies underneath the helmet. The setting appears industrial, with orange stripes on the door and instructions on the wall.
