Thursday, May 18, 2023 – For the second year in a row, Woodland Beach VFD was invited to make an appearance at the annual United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Golf Fundraiser at Renditions Golf Course in Davidsonville. The event is hosted and arranged by Coventry Services LLC, a damage restoration company that covers large portions of Maryland and Virginia. All funds raised are to benefit the Toys for Tots program which is in it’s 75th year of providing toys for the children of struggling families.
This year, a special guest was in attendance; past NFL quarterback for the Washington Redskins, Joe Theismann. Mr. Theismann spent the day scooting around the course on a golf cart visiting each team as they played, and taking a few swings himself. He signed some autographs and even stopped by our engine for a photo!
